Building a More Empathic Human Context

Our Mission

IAPC's mission is to promote a healthier society which champions parental involvement and autonomy through a family-friendly orientation in all relevant institutions. Our vision is a world that embraces a more empathic human context that seeks to protect nurture. Our core objectives include the strengthening of our social policy as it relates to families by creating a more thorough understanding of issues which rightfully support and protect parents as a class, and by emphasizing respect for parental involvement and autonomy.

IAPC is committed to the belief that parental involvement is a key component and function to nurturing healthy children and families, and is central to the success of our society. The growing membership of our alliance will continue to embrace those who epitomize the highest standards of integrity and practice within the public and private sector where the support and nurture of families is concerned, and as exemplified by the our founding principles.

We believe that by advocating for a more inclusive public policy, we will expand awareness on important issues that will create new thinking and a better understanding of why parents are so important--to ultimately improve conditions for families and make Illinois a better place to raise kids.
