About

The Illinois Alliance for Parents and Children is a non-partisan public interest group located in Chicago. Our primary policy objectives concern the protection and promotion of parental involvement and autonomy across all areas of society where children are impacted. IAPC promotes unique policy initiatives and programs through research, advocacy and outreach activities--and seeks to establish a substantive Family Policy that reflects the changing needs of our culture.

  • VISION: We see a world with a more empathic human context that seeks to protect nurture.

  • MISSION: To promote a healthier society which champions parental involvement and autonomy through a family-friendly orientation in all relevant institutions.

  • CORE OBJECTIVES: To strengthen our social policy as it relates to families by creating a more thorough understanding of issues which rightfully support and protect parents as a class, and by emphasizing respect for parental involvement and autonomy.

We believe that by advocating for a more inclusive public policy, we will expand awareness on important issues that will create new thinking and a better understanding of why parents are so important--to ultimately improve conditions for families and make Illinois a better place to raise kids.

IAPC is committed to the belief that parental involvement and autonomy is a key component and function to nurturing healthy children and families, and is central to the success of our society. The growing membership of our alliance will continue to embrace those who epitomize the highest standards of integrity and practice within the public and private sector where the support of families is concerned, and as exemplified by the our founding principles.
